Filipino Festivity and Hospitality
It was typical for a Filipino Family to gather in out of town parties as a reunion or family get together. Together with my family, we went to Water Camp, Cavite to meet my Grandmother's side of the family whom haven't seen each other for 40 years!
Delicious food is a must for after a long day under the sun bonding, swimming, and chikahan (socializing), this is the activity that is commonly shared to everyone regardless of how personalities mixed in the group. Inihaw (roasted) food are common for beach or pool getaways. As above foods are laid on the bench, the family ate with bare hands as part of a custom Filipino tradition. Yummy foods above includes Inihaw na Liempo, Inihaw na Tilapia, Alimango, Dinuguan, Ensaladang Mangga, Okra at Talong, Biko, Puto Biñan, Kutsinta, Cupcakes and many more.
Water Camp Resort of Cavite
During a reunion with my grandmother's relatives I was able to see the Water Camp Resort beside the famous Josephine's Restaurant in Kawit, Cavite. It has four swimming pools: lazy river, children's pool, dunk pool (with 2 level slides) and an adult pool. The resort is huge enough for normal outings but I believe it can be crowded during the summer season. For daytour access, there are tents and tables for renting for as low as Php200. For overnight accomodation, they hage rooms available for as low as Php1,400. The resort is located at Water Camp, Panamitan, Kawit, Cavite.

Coastal Road Toll
It has been years already since I last passed the Coastal Road. We went into too much of a traffic jam from Quezon City to reach the Cavite Area which is farther to the south. Now the toll rates are posted above and this is as of November 2010.

A Night of Laughter with Chokoleit
I came with a high school girlfriend and boyfriend to LaffLine Comedy Bar of Timog Ave. in Quezon City. Primetime guest is Chokoleit. From the other guest performers I really laughed my heart out to Super Tekla and Chokla. Both of them are really funny, even though without words, Super Tekla is nonetheless funny on his own. He somewhat also resembles Poohquiao. Having fun nights with friends at comedy bars are really the best. Nothing compares to laughter for removing all the stress away.

Nails, Nails, Nails
Having free time to put some nail polish is one of the best home activities I would like to do when sitting pretty at home during weekends. Actually I was supposed to be doing some marble nail art but my set of Nail Polishers fail me. I ended up putting some cute nail stickers on them instead.

Subic Bay International Airport
It was in June of 2009 when FedEx (Federal Express) of the USA left the Subic Bay International Airport as their Asian Hub. This has left the Subic Airport unused, ghostly and in a way "sayang". So now, what does Subic Bay International Airport look? In my opinion it was already left without any attention. In our usual visit to Subic, never did I see a single plane landing, ported or even flying from the Subic Airpor runway. It is sad that these Philippine facilities that can be used for profit was suddenly put aside without any use. I just wish Richard "Dic" Gordon would come back to Subic and rehabilitate it again as one of the most beautiful and profitable location in Luzon.
Grotto of the Holy Family
It is very rare for me to see a Grotto with the entire Holy Family. Usually it only portrays Mama Mary or just Jesus Christ. In this case I am so amazed that the entire Holy Family is complete in this Grotto of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. The first time we went there, the grotto was still blank and no images are in place. This grotto is located near the Casa Baliuag II and our Hotel Executive Suite at Paso de Blas. The grotto was made of original adobe blocks that blends with the antiquity and uniqueness of the Las Casas place in Bataan.
Casa Unisan Cafe and Restaurant (Las Casas Filipinas, Bataan)
After a turn back to history from our heritage tours and sight seeing, we ate a sumptuous dinner at Casa Unisan - which is one of the houses inside the Las Casas compound. Featured above is the Kare-kare which can serve up to 4 persons per order. Also we had the Ilocano Pinakbet and the Pritong Manok. I loved the taste and serving size of the Kare-kare (this is actually the 2nd time I've eaten it at Las Casas). While eating it was accompanied with the Filipino songs sung by a lady in Filipiñana dress and a man in a camisa de chino.

Old Fashioned Lamps
Antique lamps are a must for every room in Las Casas Filipinas. Following the antique, spanish and historical filipino inspired resort and heritage park, these lamps add more class and beauty to each and every room of the Paso de Blas hotel. Elegantly placed in the bedroom end tables, the simplicity and uniqueness of these decors make your stay more authentic and unique than any other heritage resort.

Las Casas Filipinas Plaza de Castro
This is the second time around that we went to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan. This should be a very wonderful place for us to go the second time around to bring the family and friends. Being with its patriotic style of an environment it was indeed full of history and stories. The photo above is the Plaza de Castro's (named from kabayan Noli de Castro himself) huge fountain composed of the three Maria Claras who's faces were inspired by the owners wife, Mrs. Acuzar. Photo taken using my FxCamera in medium vignette of yellow setting.

Pepper's Sleeping Moments
Pepper is our one month female old shihtzu. She's so tiny but at the same time loving and cute. She just finished his first bath with my Mom so I got her and let her sleep on my tummy. It will only take weeks that she'll be big enough to sleep on me, and be more naughty that I'm taking advantage of every moment that she's still peaceful and quiet.

Sacred Heart Parish of Caybiga, Caloocan
We went to a baptismal ceremony at Caloocan early this morning. The Baptismal venue is at the Sacred Heart Parish in Caloocan. Due to traffic, it would be around 20 mins away from the NLEX Valenzuela Exit. From the valenzuela exit you just follow the main road. Slow down and look to your right when you see the Caybiga Elementary School. The church is on the main road so you won't miss it.

Abaca Doggie on my FX Camera
I was to put the functions of my FX Camera to the test as its features appear so promising to me. So I grabbed this doggie display made of abaca from CamSur on my desk and tested the ToyCam feature with blue vignette. I wasn't disappointed as the picture turned out really cool for me.

House Turtle, Dadang
This is our home turtle named Dadang. She or he was brought to our house when he/she is just 2 inches small. Now he/she became bigger and is around 5 inches in lenght. This is the first time we were able to grew a turtle from our home. We prefer Dadang to be a "she" because she has a partner way back then who is Dodong, who have left us early when he was still small.

Bistro Ravioli
We found this chic and modern Italian resto when we went to MOA for the Wedding Expo 2010. We tried one pizza and one pasta dish for our merienda. Both the dishes were tasty and yummy. They might be of a higher price than the typical fast pizza restos, but the quality is amazing. I'm looking forward to eating at Ravioli again!

After Eight Chocolates
Got to taste these thin minty chocolates named "After Eight". I think it is from a box of 50pcs. Its minty flavor is right enough for its thiness. The chocolate is made from pure dark chocolate which as we know is good for the health and the skin.

Bouquet Tossing
Two days after the wedding of a friend, this bouquet of flowers was personally brought to my office. I guess this was to follow the tradition of giving the bouquet to the 'supposed-to-be' next bride. Since the game of catching the bridal bouquet was changed into a more exciting one, the bouquet is to be handed over to the one who has worn the garter. Beautiful bunch of flowers if I may say.

A Garter & Bouquet Experience
This is the first time I was chosen in the bridal bouquet throwing. The single stem roses where each thrown and was later on revealed that the one with the purple ribbon wins. Then luckily my boyfriend got the garter too via a balloon blowing contest. One hopefully, meant to be moments of our lives.

Unplated Metro Buses on the Loose
I was always annoyed of public transportations roaming the streets unplated. This is extremely dangerous and unlawful especially now with raising cases of hit and runs. Northstar bus is in operation without a plate number even during rush hours. This is just the start of me practicing responsible citizenship.
